Author Guidelines
Hamfara: Jurnal of Islamic Economic Studies
Hamfara: Jurnal of Islamic Economic Studies (Hamfara) invites the submission of original research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and policy-oriented studies. The journal covers a wide range of topics within the following key areas:

- Studies on the Relationship Between Economics and Islamic Finance
By submitting to Hamfara, authors agree to abide by the following guidelines:
1. Manuscript Submission
- All manuscripts must be submitted through Hamfara’s online submission system.
- Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format.
- Manuscripts should be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Authors are required to ensure their manuscripts adhere to the formatting and style guidelines provided below.
2. Manuscript Structure
Authors should organize their manuscript as follows:

Title: The title should be clear, concise, and reflective of the study’s focus. It should not exceed 15 words.

Abstract: A structured abstract (up to 250 words) should be provided, summarizing the objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions of the study. The abstract should include relevant keywords (4–6 keywords, listed alphabetically).

Introduction: This section should clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study, with reference to existing work in the field of Islamic economics and finance.

Literature Review: Provide a critical review of existing literature, highlighting gaps or areas for further investigation in Islamic economics and related fields.

Methodology: Detail the research design, methodology, tools, and data used in the study. If qualitative, describe data collection techniques; if quantitative, specify statistical methods and analyses.

Results and Discussion: Present and analyze the findings. Discuss how they contribute to the field, referring to the wider context of Islamic finance, economics, and related topics.

Conclusion: Summarize the key results, their implications, and suggest areas for future research.

References: All references should be formatted according to the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style. Ensure that every reference cited in the text is included in the reference list.
3. Manuscript Formatting
- Font: Use Times New Roman, size 12.
- Spacing: Double-space the entire document, including the abstract, body text, and references.
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Headings: Main headings should be bold and left-aligned. Subheadings should be italicized and indented.
- Page Numbers: Place page numbers in the top-right corner.
4. Figures, Tables, and Equations

Figures and Tables: All tables and figures should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and placed within the text. Each table or figure should have a clear caption.

Equations: Equations should be numbered consecutively, with the equation number placed in parentheses on the right side.
5. Ethical Guidelines

Originality: Submissions must be original and not under review or published elsewhere. Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.

Authorship: All authors must have made significant contributions to the research. Each author must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could have influenced the research or manuscript.
6. Peer Review Process

Hamfara follows a double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field.

Authors should address the comments and suggestions provided by the reviewers, with a clear response to each point.

Decisions on manuscript acceptance (i.e., accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) will be based on the manuscript’s originality, significance, and quality.
7. Submission Fees
There are no submission or processing fees for publishing in Hamfara. The journal operates under an open-access model, ensuring free access to all published articles without any costs for authors or readers.
8. Copyright
Upon acceptance for publication, authors will be required to transfer copyright of the article to Hamfara. Authors may reuse their article for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution. The journal will hold the right to distribute the article under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
9. Language and Style
- Articles should be written in English.
- Manuscripts should be clear, concise, and free from grammatical and typographical errors.
- Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript proofread before submission.
10. Submission Checklist

- Manuscript is formatted according to the guidelines.
